New Music: "Go Against The Grain" - Black Lion
/Black Lion, including artists Rel "Rich" Lindo and Heny "JR" Lindo, is a collective of music talent that mixes R&B/soul with reggae beats demonstrated through their song "Go Against the Grain" featuring Zellust & Dukez. The rap sound of the song compliments a heavy back beat but contrasts female chanting that fills out the space of the sound. It's a song whose beat creates an enjoyable listen that still carries a hardened shell of hip-hop. The Toronto natives are performing at Canadian Music Week on May 7th. JR is currently working with Rich on a follow up to their 2015 mixtape titled Black Lion Presents: The Prodigy and the Architect; the follow up is tentatively titled The Beautiful Side.
