4 years after the release of her last album, Mariah Carey is back at it again with a new single off her upcoming NEW album! Dubbed "Thirsty", the hip-hop-heavy track enlists the help of rapper-Rich Homie Quan. Take a listen below:

There's no discussion: Chromeo is pure fun. Made up of singer/guitarist Dave 1 and synth guru P-Thugg, their unique recipe for funk-revival has kept them going strong since 2004. However, Chromeo's newest single, "Jealous (I Ain't With It)", suggests a shift in mentality for the duo. While the funk influence remains, the song is clearly more of a synth-pop tune:
So, why the change? Is this a one-time deal, or is this a new, pop-oriented chapter in the Chromeo saga? Like most artists fighting their way into the mainstream, they may simply be trying to appeal to a larger audience. Many artists try to make this move, often losing the personality of their music in the process. This doesn't seem to be the case for these funkateers. Though the sound may be different, that distinct Chromeo charm remains. Chromeo is currently on tour, and their new album drops May 12th.
